2012 – present: Member of the Espira group’s (ECEC owner) Board of Innovation and Development in ECEC.

2012 – present: External expert member in EU’s group CEN/TC 136/WG17 responsible for the guidelines for education for playground safety inspectors in Europe.

2013-2014: Member of the reference group in the development of Regional Plan for Culture in Hordaland County, Hordaland County Authority

2014-present: Member of the expert review panel of the annual Mapping of Nordic ECEC Research, managed by the Danish SFI: http://nb-ecec.org/skandinavisk-forskning-pa-dagtilbudsomradet-no?set_language=no

2015: External expert at Lokale og Anlægsfonden (LOA fonden), Denmark, in developing a movement experimentarium for children at Nørrebro in Copenhagen.

 

Awards

2011: Best published paper award 2011 in European Early Childhood Education Research Journal for the pape Waller, T., Sandseter, E. B. S., Wyver, S., Ärlemalm-Hagsér, E., & T., M. (2010). The dynamics of early childhood spaces: opportunities for outdoor play? European Early Childhood Research Journal, 8(4), 437 – 443.

2013: Jørn Møller’s Play prize (Denmark). The price is according to its statutes awarded to a communicator, researcher or play person who in a particularly innovative way work on promote the understanding of “playing”.

2014: OMEP Norway’s Play prize. Organisation Mondiale pour l’Education Préscolaire (OMEP)works for a better understanding of children’s play, and the play prize is awarded every second year to a researcher or an organization that during the three last years has made a commendable contribution for children’s opportunity for play.
